CTI Press Release

Paul Kowalski becomes
Certified Tile Installer #1965

In 2025 local small business owner Paul Kowalski achieved distinguished industry
recognition as a Certified Tile Installer (CTI). Through testing by the Ceramic Tile
Education Foundation (CTEF), Paul Kowalski validated the proficiency to independently
and consistently produce a sound tile installation that displays excellent workmanship.

Certification helps consumers identify the level of proficiency of prospective tile
installers and encourages them to use only the best-qualified craftspeople so that their
tile project is installed correctly from the beginning and looks beautiful for years to come.
With both written and hands-on components, the Certified Tile Installer program is a
comprehensive evaluation of the skills and knowledge of experienced tile installers.
Tests are open to those with two years proficiency as a tile finisher and are based on
current industry standards and best practices for producing a sound installation with
good workmanship.
“CTI status is a significant accomplishment, and we welcome Paul Kowalski to our group
of talented professionals,” said Scott Carothers, Director of Certification and Training.
“The CTI designation is a unique acknowledgement of the tremendous skill and
knowledge exhibited by the men and women who presently install tile successfully
throughout the United States.”
